Meta-Plate BN Shield
Metal Chem’s Meta-Plate BN Shield is an easy to use low-mid phosphorus boron nitride composite electroless nickel system. Meta-Plate BN Shield matches the excellent lubricity of more common PTFE composite coatings while offering a much harder deposit, ideal for direct heavy load applications where wear rates must be minimal. Another advantage of Meta-Plate BN Shield over PTFE EN comes from the inorganic nature of the boron nitride particle, which can withstand stand much greater temperatures (up to 850-880 °C for the EN matrix) allowing it to be used in more rigorous applications.
Meta-Plate BN Shield is supplied as 4 separate liquid concentrates. BN Shield A, BN Shield B, and BN Shield X are used for bath make-up. BN Shield A, BN Shield C, and BN Shield X are used for replenishment.
Meta-Plate BN Shield meets AMS-C-26074 and AMS 2404.
