At Cremer Spina, we understand that our clients have needs outside of the civil courtroom. As part of our Retail practice, we provide legal representation at administrative hearings, including courts such as the Department of Public Health and the Department of Consumer Services. In addition to courtroom services, we help investigate associated citations and work with store managers and the corporate office to develop a strategy and plans to help eliminate future fines.
As part of our Employment practice, we routinely represent clients in cases pending in the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, and the Illinois Human Rights Commission, as well as the Chicago Commission on Human Relations and the Cook County Commission on Human Rights.
These matters involve preparing position statements, attending fact finding conferences, on-site investigations and mediations, and participation in hearings before administrative law judges. We also handle matters pending before the Illinois Department of Labor on cases involving the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act and the Illinois Equal Pay Act.
