Kanav graduated from The George Washington University Law School (LL.M. 2010 Litigation and Dispute Resolution), Michigan State University (J.D. 2009 Certificate in Trial Practice and Intellectual Property) and Emory University (B.A. 2005). He is a member of the Illinois bar and serves on the Board for a local non-profit, called Generation Mirror that helps in raising awareness for eating disorders.
